I transsexual - What is transsexuality?

American Psychological Association (APA) defines a transsexual as:

A person who has undergone hormone treatment and surgery to attain the physical characteristics of the opposite sex.

This website is about being a transsexual. Some people prefer the term transgender, but we will use a long held tradition and refer to transsexualism in its pure form: people who are on hormone therapy and ungoing surgery to assume a more convincing appearance as their new sex.
